Not within the Form the secret lies,
but in the consistent practice itself.
Within the body map that become clearer,
the organs that finds their natural alignment,
the energy that flows freely,
the clear, focused mind,
the subtle awareness that grows inwardly,
toward
your
Self
Formless, timeless, limitless..
In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, out of 195 sutras, only 3 refer to asana.
And he says:
ASANA IS STEADY AND EASEFUL
ASANA IS PERFECTED BY THE RELAXATION OF EFFORT AND ABSORPTION IN THE INFINITE
The starting assumption is that we approach asana the same way we approach everything else in life. And while we tend to operate through effort, we are invited to cultivate stability and ease.
Asana is born from the awareness of the formation of effort and its release. And from stability and ease, we can go further — to the infinite potential of the pose, to a place much broader than the edges of the physical body, broader than the formal practice.
Asana is a tool, not the goal.
